Nick began his career in the construction
industry. After studying for an MSc at the London School of
Economics, he worked as a manager, and management developer
for a number of years in the Public Sector. He has also been
a Director of Administration and Organisational Development
with a new campaigning organisation looking for improvement
in the built environment. Within his current portfolio, he
is working with organisations across private, public and not-for-profit
sectors. The current focus of his work is in helping senior
management and Boards develop their organisation's capacity
to learn. He is also helping these organisations to further
develop their strategic thinking and learning, and helping
them make culture changes that will sustain such activity.
In the last year Nick's private sector clients have come
from the Insurance, Retail, IT and Oil sectors. In the public
and not-for-profit sectors, his clients have included local
authorities, universities, social housing companies, national
advisory groups and NTO's.
Nick is also part of a group of consultants within BCG, that
is developing and implementing a 'whole systems' approach
to the management of complex inter-organisational projects
such as urban regeneration and regional economic development.
His current portfolio includes culture change work with large
private sector organisations in the aftermath of acquisitions
and mergers, and senior management team work where communication
is breaking down. He is a qualified systems psychotherapist
and registered Myers Briggs practitioner, as well as being
a senior associate of the Institute of Management.
