Principal Consultant

Peter is a senior organisation development consultant. He has been part of the BCG team for the past 9 years; prior to that he was an academic at Warwick, Sydney and Oxford Universities. He has extensive psychotherapeutic and counselling experience, with a background in Gestalt, NLP and Bioenergetics.

He specialises in helping organisations to lead, manage, integrate and sustain organisational and cultural change.

His skills include developing the architecture for complex change processes and in designing and facilitating a whole spectrum of mechanisms to enable this to happen. These include team and project group development processes, and, especially, large-group whole-system events, which he has used to lead award-winning programmes for the participation of users in NHS services.

He is also skilled in helping develop consultancy and change leadership skills in both internal change teams and in a variety of consultancy practices.

Recent client work includes:

  • Shifting performance through culture change in high-tech companies
  • Developing effective cross-organisational and/or cross-national project working, as well as leadership development in global corporations.
  • Top team development, culture change and performance improvement in local authorities.
  • Developing facilitation and consultancy skills for global consultancies and Business Schools and for internal consultancy teams
  • Assisting global businesses and Business Schools to develop new approaches to learning and to managing their knowledge assets.

Current / recent clients include Reuters, Siemens, BA, Orange, Shell, Nokia, Schlumberger, a variety of central/local government bodies, NHS and the Natural History Museum. This work has been undertaken most recently in UK, Germany, Ireland, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Portugal, France and Finland.
