Mike has nearly 10 years experience drawn from the financial services, oil & gas industry and consultancy fields. Having held a number of senior roles in the areas of change programme management, project management, as well as marketing, he has successfully delivered multi-million pound business initiatives, in fast changing large corporate environments. Developing a proven ability to plan, organise and manage teams across multiple locations, has led to the development of strong interpersonal, relationship management and leadership skills.

The skillsets Mike has acquired have enabled him to design and deliver bespoke interventions within organisations, to enhance the cross functional collaboration required to overcome recognised internal system issues, as well as successfully deliver change programmes. Delivery of such events has taken place at a localised, regional and national level within organisations.  His work to date has included:

• In depth International strategic analysis, review and proposition development
• Development of vision and employee engagement strategies for change
• Developing teambuilding and team management approaches to enhance the integration of cross functional teams in the delivery of common goals & objectives
• International face to face and virtual group coaching (individual and group facilitation)
• Development and delivery of national and international leadership development programmes
• Strategic recruitment, assessment and staff appraisal programme development

Following his successful expedition to the North Pole, Mike has subsequently delivered a number of motivational talks and after dinner speeches. Further developing his strong areas of interest, some themes he has developed for clients beyond motivation, include team working and dynamics, leadership, and communication.

Qualifications and Professional Development

Mike's professional development has been ongoing and has enhanced his ability to deliver programmes and events. He has a passion for continuous lifelong learning and holds a Degree in Management Science, Diploma for Performance Management (Business), a Diploma for Professional Studies, is an Accredited Assessor (SHL) as well as a qualified PRINCE2 practitioner. Mike is also a Member of the Association of Project Management and Associate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
