Stephen Pile

Stephen is on the adjunct faculty for the Pepperdine University MSOD program for mid-career professionals, and serves co-chair of the alumni board.  He is active in the Organisation Development network, and was presented a session at 2008 conference on developing leaders using creative coaching approaches. He also frequently does pro bono work in his field, including mentoring young OD practitioners, and supporting non-profits.

Stephen developed and taught senior management workshops at Caltech and for The Institute for Management Studies on how to architect and implement cross-functional team organizations.  He has consulted to over 50 companies in a dozen countries on leader development, strategic planning, work process redesign, and rapid time-to-market approaches, ranging from small startups to the largest automotive and aerospace/defense. He has extensive experience supporting leaders and teams doing high tech product development, and in the integration of human and technical systems. For two years he was a dean of leadership development training for top management of a large pharmaceutical company. His widely distributed MSOD master’s thesis was based on using feedback and reframing using brief coaching sessions, a longitudinal study of 35 leaders.
